Protection and fees
Every rental includes SCDW insurance. Here is what it covers, what it does not, and every fee our booking system applies, so there are no surprises at the car.
Every rental comes with SCDW insurance
We only rent with full coverage (SCDW), with the usual exclusions.

SCDW costs €20 to €30 per day, depending on the car group, and is always shown in your price.

Payment and cancellation
- Pay at pickup in cash, by debit or credit card (Visa, Mastercard), bank transfer or MB Way. American Express, prepaid and virtual cards are not accepted.
- Change or cancel free of charge up to 48 hours before pick-up, with a full refund. After that, or for a no-show, you receive a voucher valid for 18 months; proven force majeure (a cancelled flight, severe weather) is always refunded in full.
- Drivers must be at least 19 and have held their licence for at least one year; 19 to 25 pay the young driver fee.
- Return the car with the same fuel level as at delivery.
- If the reserved group is unavailable, GAR 105 delivers a higher group at no extra cost.

Personal Accident Insurance
Personal Accident Insurance covers medical expenses up to €1,500 and death or permanent disability up to €15,000 per occupant, up to the seating capacity of the car.
Not covered by any insurance
- Breakdown or immobilisation for lack of fuel
- Engine damage from incorrect refuelling
- Mechanical damage from unsuitable surfaces: beaches, forest tracks, dirt or rocky roads
- Interior damage not related to a road accident
- Damage to or loss of keys and documents
- Theft of personal belongings from the car
- Traffic fines and related costs
- Special cleaning, for example smoke odours
- Driving under the influence of alcohol or illegal substances
- Intentional damage
