What we collect

When you book: name, email, phone, address, each driver’s date of birth, ID document and driving licence numbers and expiry dates, flight, dates, places and the car you choose, and anything you write in the notes.

When you contact us: what you send us by email, phone or WhatsApp.

Why we use them

To prepare and carry out the rental contract, deliver and collect the car and talk to you about the booking (performance of the contract).

To meet legal duties such as invoicing and identifying the driver to the authorities (legal obligation).

To measure visits and our ads, only if you accept cookies (consent).

Who helps us

Netlify, Inc. hosts the site and stores bookings. Google (Analytics and Google Ads) measures visits and our ads, only with your consent. If you message us on WhatsApp, the chat goes through Meta. These companies process data on our behalf and, where data leaves the European Union, under the safeguards set out in the GDPR.

Cookies

The site works without cookies. Your trip dates are kept only in your browser so you don’t have to type them again. Google cookies are only used if you press Accept; you can change your mind at any time under “Cookies” at the bottom of every page.

How long we keep them

We keep booking data for as long as the rental needs it and then for the time the law requires, for example for tax purposes.

Your rights

You can ask to see, correct or delete your data, restrict or object to its use and receive it in a portable format by writing to gar105.carrental@gmail.com. If you think your data has not been handled properly, you can complain to the Portuguese data protection authority, CNPD (www.cnpd.pt).
